A Handmade Beginning
Her entrepreneurial path commenced with the creation of a handmade paper jewellery brand. This venture marked her first foray into the business world, setting the stage for future endeavors. Photography soon followed, teaching her to see beyond the surface and uncover stories in the smallest details.
Birth of WOW: Women Of Wonder
While building her business, Shilpa noticed a larger issue at play. Thousands of women were struggling to have their voices heard. This realization sparked the creation of WOW: Women Of Wonder in 2015. Initially a platform to promote her jewellery, WOW evolved into a community that empowers countless women to grow their own businesses.
Learning from the Corporate World
Between 2022 and 2025, Shilpa ventured into the corporate sector, working in the marketing division of a manufacturing company. This experience honed her skills and broadened her perspective, equipping her with the tools needed to elevate WOW.
A Purposeful Return
Now, Shilpa is back to her true passion, focusing on growing the WOW community. Her journey through creativity, entrepreneurship, and corporate life has given her the courage and skills to lead with purpose.
