The dream she finally gave a chance at 29
Some dreams do not expire. They just wait for you to stop postponing them.
Kainath started with no contacts in the industry and no map for how any of it worked. What she had was a dream of becoming a writer, and the stubbornness to keep creating until the work spoke for itself.
Today she writes for a living. A freelance scriptwriter who also writes for an audio platform, slowly building an identity in a creative industry that rarely hands out invitations.
What she writes
Her work moves between forms. Ad films and creative concepts on one side, emotional narrative scripts on the other. Ideas that have to land in thirty seconds, and ideas that have to sit with someone long after the last line.
Here she uses nostalgia as a doorway, turning a workshop into something people walk into for the feeling first and the art second.
Ahaana: Dekho, wo orange glucose biscuits, Poppins, popping candies, phantom cigarettes jaise snack-candies aur wo chhote tin wale musical boxes yaad hain? Hum har Face-art session, Origami workshop, aur Live Painting event ke saath ek "90s Survival Kit" free denge.
Karthik: Wait, idea toh achcha hai. In fact hum ek "Live Painting Store" concept bhi la sakte hain! Log aayenge, humare saath canvas par paint karenge, aur unhe unke pasandida 90s snacks milenge. It's like a bribe for their inner child!
Ahaana: Bribe nahi, Karthik, it's a portal. Ab camera uthao, humein ek naya ad film shoot karna hai.
And here she writes for the ear alone, where the whole scene turns on one message and a child's goodbye.
Narrator: Kunal ne upar dekha. Usne Ishaan ko rukne ka ishara kiya aur apne phone ki taraf ishara kiya.
SFX: Phone notification ping.
Ishaan (message padhte hue): Ishaan, mujhe maaf kar dena. Main us din ke baad baat karne ki himmat nahi juta paya. Main ye yaadein, ye khoon se sani legacy yahi chhod kar ja raha hoon. Denmark mein ek internship mili hai, wahan Myra ke liye housekeeper aur daycare ka intezam bhi ho gaya hai. Main use is zeher se door le ja raha hoon aur dusre desh mein koi rishtedaar humein pareshan bhi nahi kar payega. Aur thank you, mere bhai, khayal rakhna apna.
Narrator: Ishaan ki aankhon mein aansu aa gaye. Usne Kunal ki taraf dekha. Kunal ne Myra ka hath pakda aur upar Ishaan ki taraf ishara kiya.
Kunal: Myra beta, Ishaan bhaiyya ko goodbye bolo.
SFX: Myra masoomiyat bhari awaaz mein Ishaan ko goodbye bolti hai.
The other ten years
Away from the scripts there is work she has been doing for more than ten years. Rescuing stray animals, and caring for the ones who have no way of asking for help. It has never been a side project. It has run alongside everything else.
The dream that stayed unfinished
Somewhere between writing, rescue and ordinary life, one dream kept getting postponed. The runway.
At 29 she stopped postponing it. She stepped into modelling without years of professional experience behind her, and as an amateur she got the chance to walk at The Northeast Fashion Week. A moment she had, until then, only imagined.
Starting late
Beginning later than everyone else made her question herself more than once. Stepping onto that runway is what settled it. The feeling of not belonging did not survive the walk.
What her story is really about
Her story is not only about writing, or about fashion. It is about carrying more than one passion at the same time, and still finding the courage to begin.
Sometimes the biggest achievement is not reaching the stage. It is believing you deserve to stand on it. Kainath's journey is proof that it is never too late to give an unfinished dream a chance.
